Yael Stone

Stone was born in Sydney and raised there. She was educated at the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts (NIDA) as well as in the National Institute of Dramatic Art. Stone's career in acting began when she was a child, when she appeared as a character in Me Myself I. and The Farm. Her primary focus was on the stage. She was awarded the title of the award for Best Newcomer at Sydney Theatre Awards 2008 and Best Supporting actor for The Kid. Also, she appeared on television, including supporting roles in All Saints and Spirited. In 2010, she starred in The Diary of a Madman. This role earned her a second nomination for the Sydney Theatre Awards as Best Supporting actor. The Diary of a Madman was performed by an ensemble of the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. In March 2011 she returned to Sydney to perform the main role as a lead actress in A Golem Story (a story about the golem), Summer of the Seventeenth Doll and As You Like It.
